Q. Healthy Options has been described as a Health Center with its emphasis on holistic as well as homeopathic medicine. What is the difference between holistic and homeopathic medicine?
A. Holistic medicine deals with the whole person using various modalities such as massage, reflexology, acupuncture, etc., while homeopathic medicine uses single and combination homeopathic remedies.
Q. Is Healthy Options' weight loss program considered a holistic weight loss program? If so, what products are you able to offer over the counter that would be effective enough to curb the appetite?
A. Our weight loss program does look at the whole person because we include diet, exercise, stress management, behavior modification and meds when necessary. Every month we have new, specifically designed herbal aids to help you.
Q. Now that I know that appetite suppressants are used and are dispensed right at Healthy Options Pharmacy, are the medications covered by my health insurance?
A. Appetite suppressants can be covered by your insurance company, particularly the serotonin reuptake enhancers.
Q. Due to the lack of governmental restrictions on vitamins and supplements, how will I know what dosage is right for me?

A. Dr. Price will question you thoroughly on your medical history when you make an appointment to see him.
Q. Because of the unfortunate gap that exists between alternative and traditional medicine, I am not receiving much support from my primary care doctor regarding alternative forms of health. Does Healthy Options attempt to join forces with traditional medicine, and if so, in what types of applications?
A. We realize some physicians do not believe in alternative medicine, so we give our clients handouts on the natural hormones to help deal with this issue. This, along with our monthy seminars has increased our bridgework with local physicians.
